The secret of Norwegian wool sweaters ❄️🇳🇴

The clothing industry isn't what it once was but Norwegian wool sweaters save the day in the cold ❄️

The two sweaters you see in most videos are pretty much the only ones I have. If you wear a T-shirt, wool shirt, thin sweater and a thick wool sweater above, -15 degrees isn't a problem. You're able to move much better than in a jacket in the mountains or while doing chores on the farm.

Growing up, most of my clothes have been from flea markets. Buying used, higher quality than I could afford new stuck with me til today.

My closet isn't particularly full... There are mainly white T-shirts and, less than a hand full of regular sweaters and three wool sweaters. Whenever stuff breaks, I'm replacing it. Being self-employed makes it much easier. Dress codes at work with an underlying expectation of a large variety is a fairly ridiculous thought to me.

If you ever see me on the streets (which is unlikely already) I'm probably wearing one of these sweaters and a pair of army pants (nothing else can keep up with my legs for more than 6 months).

I get that some people are concerned to be judged by their appearance but if anybody makes up their mind about someone solely by the choice of clothing, you are probably better off without them in your life anyway ⛰️

All my winter wardrobe is wool, fur and shearling from vintage Filson, Pendleton, Eddie Bauer to Woolrich and different woollen mills 👍🏽

Great video Till. I live in a colder part of Canada so I have my fair share of clothes. However, with exception to some winter accessories and under clothes, I don’t think, I have bought new clothes for over at least 8 or 9 years. I tend to wear clothes until they get musty smell or big rips.

No doubt. Older clothing is better.

I always try and find a vintage piece rather than buy new.

Hard to find anything actually made in the USA, so I have to buy old stuff to have had it made here.

I’m a reseller and my philosophy is to sell only the best older clothing.

Massive fan of making things last…and getting the most from them.

On a somewhat unrelated topic…can I ask what gaiters you use? I need to get some but would like to know what works well. Thanks

Edit…and if you reply, I’ll gladly sub. 😊

Hard to find "reuse" clothes for the big guys who lift. Hard enough to find quality new ones.
