Happening Now: Dead Zone 2014

The numbers are in. The 2014 Gulf of Mexico Hypoxic Zone or Dead Zone measures 5,052 square miles – more than twice the size of the state of Delaware. This is a huge blow to the already fragile Gulf ecosystem and economy.
