Anyone buying a MM cd must make sure it is those remastered by Richard Moore on behalf of Matt’s wife as EMI were a bit sloppy in the issue of countless MM compilations, some just copied from vinyl. Richard Moore went for the original tapes that EMI couldn’t be bothered to do. Lovely sound on headphones from this remix Pat. My thanks this Boxing Day.

What a voice. Accurate, secure, dynamic and with reserves of strength. Beautiful timbre. It would be interesting to hear him in different genres. He’s not so different to Bono, for example.

This is an outstanding stereo remix! 👋👋👋 The opening scene with the song were always exciting for me when watching the early "James Bond" movies. Years later, it's the opening scene / song that I really remember about the movie.

Matt was an outstanding singer.
This was an excellent early Bond movie, not just because of Connery. Lotte Lenya and the smashing Daniella Bianchi acted brilliantly. I still remember the chat scene between Rosa Klebb and Tatjana because of its overtones.

This, and your remix of Walk Away, both showcase the great voice Matt Monro had - far superior to Frank Sinatra in my opinion, (others may disagree). Sinatra was a great stage showman, whereas Matt just delivered a vocally perfect performance. Excellent song, singer, and stereo remix.

Even Frank Sinatra thought this was a very good singer. Died way too early. Unfortunately only turned 54 years old. Liver cancer.
