Never underestimate the power of a really intense Dungeons & Dragons group. They’ve save ET and the Party out of Hawkins, Indiana has been saving the day from 1983 to 1986 with spunk, a perfect willingness to break curfews and do a little bit of science that if we’re honest is still above the kid’s grade even if he was a good science student. It also helps that they have in their fold a girl who can move things with her mind. It’s the kids versus the shadowy governmental agencies and mad scientists who managed to open a portal to a parallel dimension full of nightmarish horrors. For some reason once they’ve opened that first gate it became like Pringles, once you pop you can’t stop. So for every portal that the kids shutdown after defeating the being of unimaginable horror that came out of it, some stupid mad scientist comes along and goes, “Who closed this?” and opens things back up to the terrors and having to activate the teenage solved it squad. So far they’ve fought an array of beastly bad guys named after various monsters they’ve faced in their Dungeons & Dragons games. Will has been thought dead but then wasn’t, Eleven was thought dead and then she wasn’t, and now Hopper has his turn at seeming to die but not really. New allies have been found in metal head Eddie Munson and easy going surfer Argyle and new real world bullies like the Hawkins High basketball team and the ‘all about me’ team captain. 011 beating Henry/001 in 1979 should have opened the gate, not a random experiment in 1983 that ended with 011 encountering with the demogorgon. The first act seems way more important than the second imo.

Hopper wasn't transported to Russia he just got knocked down off of where the beam was and the Russians kidnapped him and took him to Russia.

Damn I kept seeing all the comments of pitch meeting carrying this channel and thought they were exaggerated but boy was I wrong.
