We've learned before that sometimes price, ratings, and reviews can be totally deceiving! Have you guys ever went fishing with a fishing kit from amazon?? Or bought fishing gear in general from Amazon? I did not expect for this to happen..

You probably set the hook so hard and hooked onto a small piece of skin. Once that fish started pulling, it probably ripped that small piece of skin and came off. Used to happen a lot to me back then, I've since broken that habit and I haven't lost a single fish since. I use a moderate hook set if I'm fishing size 2 or smaller for bass, if the hook is 1/0 or bigger, a light flick of the wrist works fine. Florida native btw, if that matters at all.
