This will be my first attempt at keto macarons. 👀😱

Recipe:

68g egg whites
61g King Arthur Baking Sugar Substitute
3g egg white powder

88g almond flour
86g Swerve confectioners
2g corn starch

Thanks for sharing this video and your effort in making keto macarons. I go on keto diet once a year and have tried this before. It obviously failed as there really isn’t anything that will substitute the real sugar. I’m just glad that I can still eat the regular macs when I’m off the keto diet. It is such a fun and challenging treat to make, but I love it!

You gave this an AWESOME try! I'm on keto, I was hoping it would work🤣. Ya know I wonder if you could try the baking powder AND use macaron silicone molds to bake them in. Maybe it would at least give them fake feet🤷‍♀️. Then again that is turning into an expensive experiment😂. Thanks SO much for trying this for us, you are incredible! 👏

I'm on Keto for the past five months, I do 20 grams a day of carbs. Pure monk fruit is very strong, I have purchased some and one regular teaspoon of sugar is equivalent to 1/32 of a teaspoon of pure Monkfruit. I like the flavor of it more than any other artificial sweetener, and swerve has an aftertaste, I will be trying to make them and tweak them according to my recipe.

Goat cheese & Pecan would be a wonderful filling, with some Swerve or Monkfruit as well. Or savory- Cream cheese, goat cheese and chive with some black pepper or jalapeno.

The sugar substitutes are not fake sugars though.. they are still natural just extracted in a different way… keto uses food items that are not processed (as much as possible).. erythritol does have cooling effect and that is what you r feeling.. actually I think u should try the meringue with swerve instead of the Arthur’s blend.. it sounds like it has quite a few other things other than just sugar alcohols (not fake sugar) and might affect the texture..

This happened to me last week but I didn't make Keto macarons just the normal one...I kept stirring hopefully my macaron dough will be flowing smoothly but it turns out the dough was not flowing as expected...my arm ached from continuously stirring till I stop stirring it ..and finally my heart too when the final products fail..but I still going to try making macarons again 😁
