This video is for all the folks out there wondering about PHEV's and if they are worthy of a closer look. In my case I have been running the Mitsubishi Oulander PHEV for 2 years now and LOVE it. This video is a compilation of over 80 videos that I have made while testing the vehicle in Canadian driving conditions, especially the extreme COLD. Everything you ever wanted to know about the PHEV from mileage, to towing, to cold battery conditions, including the best way to drive a phev, and if Mitsubishi will ever solve their degradation software issue (No They Wont), are answered in this video. Thanks for watching.

HI GARY!!! Great video. I'm from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. I'm getting my Outlander PHEV 2020 in "Titanium" Color next weekend!! Been waiting about a month for the car to get here all the way from Mistubishi Japan. My climate here is dessert hot and close to 5°C cold in the winter, so no "icy roads" warning for me! LoL!!

I've been reviewing all your videos and it's almost insane to watch this video @24:27 that after 2, 000km you had only put 31L of fuel to the PHEV! My previous car was a 2007 Mitsubishi eclipse GT-V6, imagine the fuel difference I'm about to experience!! LoL!! But I'm really gonna miss the speed and power of abusing and overtaking others with the Eclipse. :(

I'm now more than 50 steps ahead on what to expect next week when I have the PHEV on my hands! THANKS FOR ALL THESE VIDEOS! They really help new guys like me get up to speed and be far ahead of what the dealer may or may not know the day I pick up the car!

GRACIAS Gary!! :)

Thank you Gary so much for your series on the PHEV. I'm most of the way through the playlist and still watching. You have been a big influence on my choosing a new MY20 Exceed here in the UK. Hopefully picking it up in a week's time 🤓

Love this series Gary. I bought a Sonata PHEV in November and it thrives in the brutal traffic of Southern Ontario. Can't wait to go on a long road trip and push the mileage further. Keep up the good work

Nice review mate, I had same car and I'm very happy and find that we had same hurdles- zero on km limits when fueld is end and driving last km on end of my nerve, deriving without heating saving mileage;-) . BTW driving in battery saving mode and heating the car is not rising your consumption. Best regards from Bulgaria!

Thanks so much for these videos. I am planning to pick up a 2020 SE PHEV on Dec 22! RAV4 prime looks great, but I can't wait two years, plus who knows if the rebates will still be around then. I have a 2018 dealership loaner for the next few days and love it so far. I have one issue that I am unable to solve. Is there a way to limit the charge to say 80% of the battery capacity? I live around Vancouver Island and I am on a super steep hill roughly 1, 000 ft above sea level. Not capitalizing on all that kinetic energy as I drive down on a full charge is far from ideal. I've got a charge point charger that can be turned off with my phone. But I don't know the change level that way, so it would turn into a bit of a guessing game with how long to change to get to roughly 80%. I also know my wife will not be playing that game, lol. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Really great video. One question I can’t find the answer for. What happens when you drive at 100kph on a full battery. Can you run electric only and if not what economy do you get?

Well, i drive 6-8km's a day to and from work combined.
I think its great when charging Every 3 days or so.

The one time i go on the highway in the summer out to the beach its ok for me that its using some fuel..

Its a big car, relatively cheap, and relaxing to ride...
When I go out hunting its quiet.
Its quiet going on secondary roads.

When I want to ride hard I go for the motorcycle..
Or... our family 2015 Porsche 911..
