Is The 2022 MINI Countryman better than the 2020 MINI Countryman? That’s the question and in this video I compare the two. What has changed in only 2 model years? Quite a bit apparently.

I would say the biggest change is definitely on the inside due to the new displays, otherwise you got to be a mini-nerd to even tell any difference

Life is too short to drive a boring car, so drive the Mini. That was COOL :)))

I am blind in my right eye and without Blindspot monitoring how visible would it be outside looking near the rear pillars?
I also have to say I love your channel. Such enthusiasm for your product and you are a very relatable person. A regular guy and not some salesman trying to push the product. Thank you

For what they are giving for used cars right now, I might hop into a MINI once again. I had a 2015 Countryman and then got into a 2016 Cooper S, which was amazing to drive. Still deciding on a Countryman S or Clubman S as I’ve got a little girl now!

Hey, I just wanted to say that in my opinion I like the JCW Countryman the most. Random, just had to get it out there. So, how are you doing Miniac?

Defo loving the new look, especially the union flag lights. Shame they don’t come in manual all4 anymore. Would’ve got one!

I just wish they brought back the manual for the countryman like they did for the F56

Can’t find this answer…. In the 2022 countryman, will the front cup holders accommodate a 1 litre plastic drink bottle?
Will it interfere with the start stop toggle ect.

Sad to get rid of our 2013, but the 2022 we got is quite a bit better, ie: ‘more mature’ in all respects.

I can’t seem to find this answer anywhere. Does the 2022 countryman front cupholders accommodate a 1 L plastic drink bottle and if it does would extend past the lower toggles near the gearshift.

They should reverse the back up lights. They point backwards.

Are those bumpers interchangeable? Could one make convert the 2020 into a 2022 facelift model?

Is the software compatible with older models? I have a 2019 F55 and love the new layout off the infotainment

Preferred the old tail lights. Much prefer the new front grille and front lights, however. Would love to see Mini get rid of the chrome trim around the car and go instead for “chrome-delete” black trim accents. Especially when choosing black roof and black wheels. The other thing that would complete the car for me is the central display should fill the central circle completely (a large circular display) and the hybrid range would increase to 40-50 miles. And I’d lose those yellow-green accent plug badges that show the car is a hybrid and the “COUNTRYMAN” branding on the rear end. The owner already knows what car they are driving. That’s what matters. Less badges are always better. Most Tesla’s have only the “T” badge and that philosophy works well. And especially so when driving a quirky unique car, like a Mini. Make car design be the focus, not attention seeking big marketing badges. The only signs you need are the mini badges. A beautiful woman doesn’t need a tattoo on her face. Also prefer the original instrument cluster. In a word—charm! I feel Mini could have taken that idea even further. Some retro throwbacks work well in this kind of car design. Many older cars feel as if they have a soul. It’s temping to want to modernise them, but the danger is you might kill that very magic people love about the car. VW Golf is a perfect example, it used have such character. The central infotainment display was the screen begging to be all-screen right out to the edge of the circle. Modernise the infotainment screen. With the instrument cluster retaining the vintage classic charm. A compromise would be to keep the old instrument cluster layout, but make each part of it a separate digital display—to keep the essence of the analog binnacle design, while adding some modern power.

No it's definitely not. Th newer one is just too much, it's over did and aesthetically worse. The front escpecially. Also in the EU the engine got a reduced power. And the best colour of melting silver is also gone so no improvement on any side.
