Tap5a Multiline Text Background (Legacy Version) | Free Final Cut Pro X Plugin

Multiline text with autosizing background for each line. Quick and useful for titles, lower 3rds and subtitles. Complete list of features and download link below.

Features:
• Multiline text with autosizing background for each line
• Optimize performance by choosing max number of lines needed (3, 6, 12)
• Works with all text inspector parameters. Stylize your text freely
• Adjust background color, opacity and roundness
• Adjust background margins (horizontal, vertical)
• Offset background (horizontal, vertical)
• Put hole in background with Stencil Text option
• Add border to background
• Adjust border color, width and opacity

Requirements:
• Tap5a Multiline Text Background requires Final Cut Pro X 10.3

Download and installation:
• Create “Tap5a” folder (if you don’t have it already) under: ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/
• Move "Tap5a Multiline Text Background" folder to: ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/Tap5a/

Known issues / limitations:
• Maximum number of lines is limited to 12 to make performance better
• With some fonts background align to top of the font and not on the center. Use offset vertical adjustment to correct this.

This is a GREAT plugin, unbelievable that this guy is making better stuff for FCP than apple! For anyone who's having issues with the plugin being offline in past projects after an update, I had to delete my plugin then reinstall to get it working for past projects (though it still showed in the browser and worked fine in new ones!).

Thank you for this!! I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something, but I'm unable to adjust the line spacing on blocks of text. I'm hoping to get the lines of text closer to each other so it's more of a single block. Any guidance?

OMG. This is awesome. How did you do this? Thanks a But I have a quick question. The texts gets blurred only when it's been played. And the texts are clear when it's stopped. How can I fix it? My Final cut pro version is 10.4.4
