Mark nails this one and I'm sure his criticism comes as no surprise. The '96 film was far from a masterpiece, but it's amazing how it instantly looks so much better now when you compare it to this disaster; plus it was a family movie (in the strictest sense of the word) that both parents and kids could enjoy, mainly because, as you can surmise by most comments on here, EVERYONE young and old loved Michael Jordan back then - his incredibly likeable persona shone through the entire movie and meshed perfectly with the Looney Tunes universe. LeBron may be a great athlete but he'll never match Jordan in that department. Plus the plot was straightforward and easy to follow while this one just looks like an ADHD nightmare, maybe to cover up for the sheer emptiness of it all.

'CYBER SPACE JAM' is a more appropriate title. Or 'Warner Bros. are Desperate and in a Jam.'

"It's just a kid movie" is such a bad way of dodging criticism. Executives often forget that these movies shape the memories of children. Do you want to bank on Nostalgia in the future? Make movies that are so well cared for that kids remember it fondly.

The movies adults today remember and love are those that were made with love, that had care behind it's production and that didn't take kids as dumb-dumbs unable to understand anything.

Michael Jordan had charisma that's why we all liked him, although his acting came of stale.

Respect you for sitting through this movie though. I watched it at the cinema and walked out somewhere during The Matrix scene. I really couldn't stand the HBO Max advertisement.

They were totally jealous of End Game with 100+ characters in the final fight. So they tried to do their own version. Let's get _all_ the characters at the game. Then they even have a Tony Stark death scene with Bugs Bunny.

To be honest, I’m surprised that they didn’t have The Goon Squad being comprised of villains from different movie. Like Agent Smith as a power forward or Pennywise playing center, stuff like that.

It is disturbing that "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", the correct and profitable way to make such a movie, was lost on WB after OG Space Jam.

The original Space Jam succeeded because of its trifecta of good. It had the Looney Tunes which their target audience grew up with, it had Michael Jordan that everybody loved whether or not you were a fan of the Bulls, and it had Michael Jordan coming back to the sport we all loved him for specifically for this movie. Do you wanna know why Space Jam 2 failed? Most people don’t like LeBron James, our kids didn’t grow up with this stuff, and most people don’t like LeBron James.
