The West - let's go green by making and patronizing EVs.
China - Ok, here are very affordable EVs for acceleration of the green environment agenda.
The west - how dare you surpass us China?! We're supposed to be leaders in that sector!

China doesn't not care, is the American pay more. Just don't do business all together, straight forward, I think China doesn't care a bit. 😂😂😂

Inflation Reduction Bill should have been called Inflation Acceleration Bill.

China was smart in investing in EVs battery technology, and EV charging infrastructure early on. Of course China will subsidize its industries. The same way Trump imposes protectionist tariffs and Biden imposes semiconductor technology export restrictions and battery import restrictions. The only difference is when China or any Asian nation leads, the elitist white Anglo centric Washington DC politicians love to act xenophobic. That is short term thinking and will not save them. The U.S, Japan, Germany are stuck in a gasoline internal combustion engine economy that will take decades to overcome and convert to an EV system.

No brainer that USA should imposed tariffs on Chinese products.
Let the Americans buy expensive products and let the rest of the world enjoys cheap chinese products.
The rest of the world would be stupid to buy the super expensive USA products.
The high wages in USA is becoming illusory as it would buy expensive products as well.
I pay $10 for a medical consultation with a doctor in Malaysia.
I pay $200 for a Huawei smart watch.

The public has been waiting four years for car prices to come down. The one thing that could bring down the greedy, other Gods, car prices is cheap china cars and now tariffs heaped on the poor and middle class’s only hope.

express my satisfaction with President Biden's sanctions on copyright abuse and exports of defective products.
The U.S. and the U.N. should further strengthen their checks on China against such scams of selling defective products at dirt cheap prices.

Has any given thought as to who is going to repair the EV's and exactly where these techs can be found? And, the prices will be outrageous.

Good. China definitely will equally impose tariff on all US cars. Tesla, GM and Ford can say bye bye to China market.

China does practice loss leader tactics, so i can't say that tariffs are not warranted. Too bad that EVs in general are probably going to be put on ice because of this and the downfall of EV brands in general

Are these the same EVs the Detroit 3 say that no one wants, to explain why US OEMs are pulling back on their own EV rollouts? Let the market decide!
