Goldman Sachs agrees to $3.9 billion 1MDB settlement with Malaysia
Показать описание
Goldman Sachs has agreed to pay nearly $3.9 billion to settle legal action over Malaysia's 1MDB scandal. In return, all criminal charges will be dropped. The deal will see Goldman paying $2.5 billion in cash to Malaysia, and returning at least $1.4 billion in assets linked to 1MDB bonds. Prosecutors charged the bank, along with several current and former directors, with allegedly misleading investors. The bank had helped the Malaysian government raise $6.5 billion for the 1MDB fund, pocketing about $600 million in fees.
