Civ 6 | This May Be The PERFECT Maori Start!!! #1 - (Deity Maori Civilization VI)

In this game of Civ 6, I return to an idea we had on a previous series of Civilization VI – wouldn’t it be interesting if we played a game with Kupe on a map of Europe?

Well, now we get to try it! Can we settle the UK? Sicily? Greek islands? Iceland?? Who knows!!

Even better, we have access to one of the best Kupe starts we could have rolled in quite some time… Be excited, grab the save file, join on in. Let’s get exploring!!!

I’ve mentioned this on discord and on YouTube community polls, but I’m currently away with work and then on holiday in quick succession – for the next 10 days or so, my videos are going to be short, sweet, and series might go on a bit longer than normal. All help with comments, traction and support generally in this period to stop the algorithm from punishing me is MUCH appreciated!!!

What a crazy start. I thought getting a hard built Stonehenge on Diety to be impossible. Thought it was only possible with Qin Shi China.

Concerning those barbs near the end of the episode; as someone who plays a lot of Kupe the easiest way of dealing with that camp is a Quadrireme. Simply ignore all the units the camp spawns and kill the spearman with the Quad. With Maritime Industries that's a much smaller production investment than building a large enough ground army to stop an actively spawning barb camp, and likely a better investment anyways since you'll be able to use it to clear the camp near Tangiers and protect your fish.

This does leave the barbs on the map still standing around, but without a camp spitting out more units they're easy enough to clear with a single archer.
