when lockdown was fighting optimus in that last seen he WAS trying to kill him.

Its because optimus is in his knight armor because there is two form of optimus first is his normal form and second is when his wearing his armor and since he have an armor it didn't go through the spark it shield's it

I think its also because its his knight form in his prime making him much more durable

No matrix gives immortality not fast regen because if damage hard enough to kill him matrix wouldn't help where as if you are immortal you cant die, thats the diffirence

Horrible and inconsistent writing. The 80s cartoon had better consistency than these live action movies.
