On the (German) keyboard the ";" is only accessible using SHIFT, so inserting the date seems to not work - but is also not inserting the time when using "CTRL + SHIFT +, /;" key. Not sure if changing the keyboard in the OS system will change the behaviour (and knowing where ; is on the kb-layout).
