Oh I’ve gotten that a few times, thought they added a mechanic to let us skip the pokeball shaking cutscenes

Have this in Pokemon go but instead of just making a noise it just shows it being caught like 10 times on the animation

You can get the capture charm in sword/shield to increase the odds of a critical catch. I dont know about other games though.

i didnt know this existed in games predating sun and moon. ig i just got super unlucky in those older games

I never got crit captures before scarlett and violet now I get at least 4 an hour.

Critical defense only take 10% damage and low chance for 0% damage.

Now in scarlet it’s either a crit catch or no catch, kinda ruins the novelty of it

me and a friend once joked about it when i was about to catch spiritomb in ORAS, saying it would be hella funny to get a lucky throw on my first try with a normal pokeball on spiritomb.
