Story time!
I was really struggling with Melania, so I decided to look up some guides to help.
A lot of the guides said use magic, so I respeced, and maged out.
Did not go well, best I ever got, was like a 3rd of the way through phase 2.

Bleed is good right? So I respeced into a full on rivers of blood build.
Absolute trash, got to the 2nd phase once.

At this point I gave up, I decided to respec one last time BACK into the build I’d been using since the start of the game.
I also put mimic on, and killed her on that attempt…

Moral of the story, put mimic on, and don’t doubt your build.

My build for her fight:
Blood greatsword

Green turtle
Great jars
Lord of bloods
Dragoncrest shield

Opaline hardtear
Greenburst

Mimic, obviously.

You might hate it, but I’ve been loving it all game long.

I struggled on her quite a bit at level 130. I wanted to do everything I could before killing the fire giant and triggering the end game. I ended up using the blasphemous blade and spamming the art as often as I could to knock her down, then getting in a quick jump attack and slash before resetting. Got decent at dodging waterfowl but I would still say she got me at least a 1/3rd of the time.

I just beat malenia with this strategy, thanks. If anyone is still having problems with the fight i recomend invoking mimic tear for extra dps, you still need to learn how to evade her moves tho because the mimic dies pretty soon in phase 2.

Getting the game to drop a Magma Blade is the real final boss.

If you’re faith you can put blackflame tornado on a halberd and use your mimic. She melts

Thank you. I wish I could say I was successful. I just best her, with the help of two Co-operators. I literally played for two hours and depleted so many rare resources so i called on help from with the furlcalling finger remedy. I'm not a veteran souls player, so I took less shame in this and it was still crazy hard because she just scales up. The one thing I didn't try and is rolling into her and that seems like it's key. Anyways, thank you for you for your video. Love the narration and I glad to know someone is clapping this beezy into the ground. Good day sir

Thanks man, your magma blade and curved sword build helped me clapped those Scarlet Rotted cheeks. I used Mimic +10 and by phase two she couldn't even breathe.

When I fought this boss I had light armor and a halberd. Strength build, that's about it. Then I talk to people who beat her in like a day using summons.😂

So I gave my mimic rivers of blood, and I used Mohgwyns Sacred spear. We got it done in less than 5 minutes

Even with the River of blood I still straggle very hard. I beat her by luck on my 20 attempt.

Today i just beat Malenia no summons, no bleeding, with Giant crusher + Royal knight's resolve, the best tip i can give to someone struggling with this fight is stay at mid range, jump attacks and throw kukris to make her do the waterfowl dance, because its pretty easy to dodge when you are a mid range spacing the first attack, dodging the second and the third unlocking Malenia so you can escape in the opposite direction, she never does this attack twice in a row so you can punish her after that a couple times, then throw kukris again and so on.
Other thing that helps a lot is getting Rogier's rapier, you can stance break Malenia with this spell and 1 charged r2, very useful when she does the flower attack in phase two.
My first time was using Rivers of blood and Mimic tear, that wasnt even satisfying but now i can truly say i won.

The irony of having to dodge the waterfall dance by dodging into it is actually unexpected.
All my instincts tell me is to GTFO when she does it, guess I'll try it considering it's the attack that ALWAYS KILLS ME!!

I fuckin SUCK at all from soft games... I killed her today with moghs spears skill and +10 mimic... she melted in SECONDS and I even missed the white mask... I think it's safe to say bleed is still strong af

I have a 10+ mimic tear, she uses it as a first aid pinata 🪅
I know that the nerfed the mimic tear but did they have to make it totally useless in this boss fight?
I mean, it does more harm to me than good to summon it. It's painfully dumb.
