I only keep native ants, and shipping ants is illegal where I’m from. My dream ant species in my area is probably Winter Ants, but my dream species anywhere in the world would be bull ants, trap jaw ants, honeypot ants, marauder ants, or leafcutter ants.

My dream genus would probabaly be Atta (leafcutter ants). I love the fact that they actually "farm" fungi like humans would with corn, they have pretty impressive majors, and they have little spines on their backs. Unfortunately, I live in New York so they aren't native, BUT a few Pheidole species live up here, and that's another genus I dream of keeping.

I can't really choose my favorite species. It's so hard! At the moment what I wan't to get is Colobobsis Truncata. Cuz they are like mini Camponotus that were beaten up by a pan.
But yeah I can't say it's my favorite species.

Mine too are pheidoles. I have their colony in planting pot. They are also the cutest ants and they are brave and strong even without stinger and acid spray.

Nice Pheidole are awesome ants. My Buckethead (pheidole) colony has three majors now and I've just added an extra outworld for them.
My dream species at the moment is the Gold-Tailed Jumping Jack. It was the Australian Dracula ant but I am now the proud owner of a queen.

My dream sp. is leptomyrmex(spider ant) i love how they look, how their queens are ergatogynous(wingless) and how they store food in their gaster like honeypot ants do

Awesome! They are really cute. However, my dream ant colony is not as cute but 10 times bigger, its the Bull Ants from Australia. Also, have you seen Ants Toronto, he has so many awesome ants like D. Gigas and Dracula ants right now.

Dream species: Odontomachus bauri, or harpegnathos venator, or pretty much any phedolie. I cant really choose a single dream
