Should India Remain Neutral on Russia-Ukraine War?

Показать описание
Hello Nerds! Welcome back to my channel!
One of the most intense crisis in modern times is taking place right now in Ukraine. The Russia-Ukraine conflict (Russia-Ukraine War) which has been ongoing since 2014, has blown out into a full-scale war. Russia has officially invaded and attacked Ukraine, marking it the first time that country has invaded a European country since World War 2.
Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Internationally considered an act of aggression, the invasion has triggered Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II, with more than 4.1 million Ukrainians leaving the country and a quarter of the population displaced.
The invasion marked a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began following the 2014 Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. Russia subsequently annexed Crimea, and Russian-backed separatists seized part of the south-eastern Donbas region of Ukraine, sparking a war there. In 2021, Russia began a large military build-up along its border with Ukraine, amassing up to 190,000 troops along with their equipment.
Most of the major world powers like the US, UK, Canada, Australia and most of the European Union have strongly condemned Russian actions. However, the World's largest Democracy, India has remained firmly neutral on the ongoing war, and has refused to take sides. Understandably, this has not gone down well with the West, who think India have taken Russia's side.
So why is India neutral on this major conflict? And will it continue to remain neutral in the coming days of the war? Find out from the video...
This video is about the 2021–2022 Russo-Ukrainian crisis, Russia-Ukraine War, India's stance on Russia-Ukraine war and India's neutrality on the war.
