Scientist:
“My discoveries are useless if taken out of context”

Media:
“Scientists claim their discoveries are useless”

The saddest part is Alexander Humboldt noticed and expressed concern about man made climate change over 200 years ago. Human ego and greed has really ruin this world.

A scientific paper is the view and research of a single guy. Scientific truth is the view and research of thousends of guys

This is the exact reason a scientist fabricated research evidence stating that wine and chocolate were absolutely amazing for you. Within weeks it was all over the news that a lot of wine and chocolate are good for you. It’s completely false of course. And just as he expected, his paper was gospel before other independent research could be done to prove/disprove. 😂

This is why meta data of research is important.

It is pretty awful how white papers who have yet to be peer reviewed even once are used by big name press

This is why analytical reasoning skills NEED TO BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL.

Nope. Truth is truth no matter that everyone thinks it’s not. 😎

Okay, Neil, let’s straighten some things out:

1) Truth is a property of a statement that is present when (in referring to empirical facts about our world) the way the world is agrees with said assertion. Accordingly, there aren’t three kinds of truth in the way you said. There is only one kind of truth.

2) Second problem: You conflate the notions of truth and knowledge as customarily understood. Truth occurs when the statement matches up with reality; knowledge refers to a valid and reliable basis of justification upon which one asserts that a true statement is true or it refers to the total body of true statements (in for example science) in which said justification is present.

3) Problem number 3: Beliefs don’t contrast with truth and knowledge because every asserted statement is synonymous with a belief, whether true or not.

So basically you got all of it wrong, Neil.

Sensible. That's why your argument is dangerous... it's sensible. 🤔

I believe in it but even if American stopped all emissions it wouldn’t make a dent

First off paper is paper. Now facts show me facts. Conjecture is great in debating. But I need facts in science.

You can also fund 3000 papers to support whatever policy you want to implement or brings you the biggest profit.

They always add in fossil fuel. But how many times do they add in the tens of thousands of blacktop roads and Hwys paved around the world. Fact it is always cooler in the countryside. Because there aren't as much black asphalt.

Pure science is still just best guess, if this doesn't work let's try that.
