I was teaching English in Thailand with my American friends, and they were shocked at my adjectives...For example, I’d use delicious when eating or drinking or I’d use marvelous or glorious and sometimes, quaint, monumental and delightful. My American friends just said ‘awesome ‘ to describe everything, absolutely everything.

Overall food in the U.K is now better than in the U.S. Sure there's plenty of junk food (mainly imported from the U.S -lol) but more and more pubs now serve much better quality/options than you would find in your average U.S. restaurant.

I think part of the problem is lack of travel by US citizens.
Many have never even held a passport .Europe nearly everyone has one and visiting other countries is hugely important to see other cultures.

Sounds like he's describing London area rather then England ?

I'm from Birmingham and I have a holiday home in Wales and you are absolutely spot on about accents, the general Welsh accent is very melodic, and in Birmingham people two streets away have a different accent to me, good to see you smiling when you talk about your time here, says everything.

I hope that you had a great time when you were here.

Why do you call it a bathroom or a rest room in a restaurant? Do they have baths in them or sofas for you to take a rest?

Uk is a fair country we have a good safety net system in place you don't have to worry about going to hospital if you have no money ., you don't have to carry a gun everywhere to feel safe .People are reserved and not openly friendly until they get to know you ...America is a winner takes it all kind of place

"Bathroom" is the most ridiculous euphemism, followed by "rest room" and similar.

I think that the real reason for so many accents/dialects is that until 1900 many people rarely used to venture further than 5 to 10 miles from their home thus speech became localized ie. an accent

if there's no bath, it's not a bathroom. Toilet and rest rooms are the proper terms...and I'm American

Seeing as you went too Wales and England, you should change the title of your video to - 'The truth about living in the UK (or Great Britain)'

It amazes me that Americans feel the need to explain that other countries are different to the USA. You go to a different country because it's different. What would be the point if it were all the same ?

Lincoln is not on the coast. It's at least 30 miles inland

Only fry Mars bars in Scotland. Pancake day (shrove Tuesday) is NOT a holiday. Still glad you had a good time. By the way many many countries drive on the left. Japan India Kenya Uganda Australia New Zealand Malta Cyprus Gibraltar to name but a few!!!!
