Love your videos Lee. I just used your tutorial and installed Windows 11 on my Pi5 8gb WITH INTERNET using a USB to ethernet device on the USB 2.0 socket. It didn't work on the USB 3.0 socket and it only gets 50 Mbps (paying for 400 Mbps) but it works! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of everything Raspberry Pi.

I overclocked RPi5 to 3.0MHz. Its W11 Geekbench 6.2.2 performance results are as follows: Single core - 785, multicore - 1536.

I always love watching your videos and seeing what you are up to. Keep at it.

Thanks for the video. min 10:15 I don't have the "I don't have internet" option and the setup process stopped here. I tried the external USB wifi dongle but I had the same problem. Thanks again

Just going to run through trying it now - notable that the build it runs is newer than those the 4 would go up to - Those new ARM instructions (8.1?) I hoped would probably be supported by the 5 and it looks like we're good on that! This brings it in line with the up to date release builds for PC, with taskbar labels/grouping and all that junk back in. Very cool, will get it going and remember - killing Smartscreen is your performance friend! ;)

I just got into this with a Pi4. Very interesting, and almost usable. Only missing thing is hardware support with optimized drivers. Once those are available this should fly! Fingers crossed we see support for the Pi 5 on the hardware front!

Nice work!!, I got one of my Pi 5's loaded today with your help. Right off the bat I used a "KILLER" 2.5 gb usb 3.1 Ethernet adaptor plugged into USB3 port' working at full speed. Also used an Apple compatible Bluetooth dongle in USB2 port. Working with out a hitch. Now just need Pcie and Fan control to work and I will be almost complete. Thanks for your help.

Just a few asides from further testing today; You can run and build the SM64EX port, so long as you pick the right renderer. The "Zelda DX HD" version will run, and can be pushed toward an acceptable framerate if you limit it to 4x scale and a smaller window. Zelda3 can be built, but will run slightly slow. And the Ocarina of Time decompilation, Ship of Harkinian, can be built and IF you blank out the line about sdl in the ini file (which won't work) to make it run in DX11 mode and IF you have usb audio working (otherwise it'll just crash), will run just fine.
Photoshop - at least CC 2019 - will also run more or less identically to on regular Windows - from an SSD the startup time is more or less identical even.
GB Studio (1.21 in my case) will also run and even an intensive build/run of a ROM will only be 10-15 seconds slower that on regular Windows.
The excellent Duckduckgo Browser also runs. And if you use USB tethering for wifi, you can also have Windows use whatever VPN you have on your phone.
Have not yet found which WOR driver the Pi 4 set uses for bluetooth, will be curious to see if that can be gotten to work since the install itself was the Pi 3 drivers which (iirc) did not have that feature.

I followed your steps and it always says ("Unable to read partition as FAT error") and also ("installed operating systems (os) does not indicate support for raspberry pi 5") thanks for your help!

Nice video. If you install windows 11 on Pi 5, is it only something like a "demo/test version" or is it allowed to use that Windows versions for unlimited time for free? (So do I needed to buy a license key for Windows if i want to use it on the Pi 5?)

Some of my observations/confirmations (that others had noticed too):
SD Card need to be FAT32 (if it too much gb, simply create a partition smaller than 32gb for the boot files).
In the WoR imager, use the RPI3 option, the RPI4 seems to cause issues.
To get internet on the PI5, use ethernet to usb dongle. For me it worked in the USB 3.0 slot. But it took forever to recognize it.
Didn't get bluetooth going, but plugging in a USB-device on the fly was no issue.

It is brutally slow.
RDP:ing in is not working at my current state of testing.

Problems finally defeated (it does seem to be the Pi 3 option that is the key) and... 11 (GPU aside) is great on the Pi 5. On an SSD its incredibly quick to start up, for file access, it shuts down in /seconds/... Going to do some proper testing of some things on it tomorrow but its been very worth the effort!

Nice video, there is a way to install it onto an sd card without any usb drive by installing wor first onto the sd card then mounting the boot partition using the command prompt. Windows is annoying when accessing the boot partition so you'll have to download an app like explorer++ making sure that you run as an administrator. Copy the rpi5 uefi files into the boot partition not in any folders inside the boot partition then replace with files in destination. Haven't got past the setup yet because of the wifi part. Hope this was helpful

I do have one last little thing I may try with this now that I finally have a reasonably working version... transferring and installing the Pi 4 drivers from the WOR folder.
Inevitably going to break, but then that's half the fun.

Thank you for this how-to video. I followed you approach and everything went smoothly. Just have a couple of comments. In the windows version selection, I first selected Enterprise edition, it didn't accept my personal email account. Then I selected pro version and it worked out fine. Another one is regarding network connection; I used a USB-ethernet dongles. It works very well. I tested its performance using Geekbench 6.2.2. The single core performance is 671 and multi core is 1291. It is faster than OPi5 W11 Geekbench 6.2.2 performance.
Overall, I think it is quite good for W11 on an ARM SBC.

Do you face any issues while running the software like that, Are it works smoothly?
