Ben Blair too slow for international rugby?

After Ben Blair got a chance to play for the All Blacks ahead of legend Christian Cullen in 2002, a much criticised decision in New Zealand as Blair was behind Leon MacDonald at the Crusaders and Cullen was a legend. Blair faced a lot of pressure and was criticised for his lack of pace after New Zealand's loss to England in 2002 where Blair was outpaced by England winger Ben Cohen.

First Cohen went past Blair to score a try and the Daily Telegraph stated that Cohen's pace "burned" Blair.
