Hi there - to say the least, this is a complex piece of software. I believe I could learn one thing everyday for a year about FCPX and still not feel proficient in using this to edit videos. Thanks you for this great information in organizing clips in the browser. These skills are definitely going to improve my workflow. All the very best, Cheers Rick

Hi, this is a great video explaining Smart Collections. I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly, so I have a question: under a library, I have several events that are episodes of that library. I'm a gamer content creator, so as an example, a library can be a game, let's just say "Super Mario Bros." Under that library would be events titled "Part 1, " "Part 2, " "Part 3, " etc. Each event has its videos, audios, and images appropriate for that event. However, I have a set of videos, audios, and images I use across all events. These are intros, outros, call-to-actions (i.e., "Like, " "Subscribe, "), those types of files. I normally put these under separate events titled "Video and Images" and "Soundtrack". I tried using Smart Collections to try to group these types of files, but the settings don't give me the specific parameters to include only those types of files. Is there another way of grouping these files without creating separate events for them?

How do you edit the criteria rules for an existing Smart Collection?
