Global Warming from 1880 to 2021

Earth’s global average surface temperature in 2021 tied with 2018 as the sixth warmest year on record, according to an analysis by NASA.

Continuing the planet’s long-term warming trend, global temperatures in 2021 were 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit (0.85 degrees Celsius) above the average for NASA’s baseline period, according to scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York. NASA uses the period from 1951-1980 as a baseline to see how global temperature changes over time.

Collectively, the past eight years are the warmest years since modern recordkeeping began in 1880. This annual temperature data makes up the global temperature record – which tells scientists the planet is warming.

The fact that in the 1880s, it was pretty normal, and onto the modern era, the 1980s to present day, just goes to show the Earth is gonna die much sooner than anticipated. I'm tired of living in a world where nobody cares and wants to live a life of greed. It made everyone miserable and the Earth is heating up so badly. Even using A/C is killing the Earth quickly, because they release heat back into the outside world. People don't care. I remember when I was a kid and I wanted to help the Earth. Meanwhile, everyone else was so content to destroy and kill the Earth faster by irresponsible greed. I'm done trying to get people to understand what they are doing to our atmosphere and that we are shortening our time here. Literally nobody cares and I hate it. I am homeless and subjected to being outside during all of this. I'm getting sick of melting out here and I get worried about everyone else stuck out here too. When is the actually doomsday gonna happen? That's my only concern now. There is no reversing this destruction, because nobody is wanting to do anything. The invention of plastic and nukes is also part of the reason we are at this stage. There's no getting rid of plastic or nukes.

I hate global warming I live in Canada it’s suppose to be nice . It’s consistently hotter here then it is in LA 🤦 Wild fires are insane ! Twenty years ago we’d get hot sunny weather for 3 or 4 days max then rain for a few days back to cloud then sun . Now it’s jsut straight sunshine never ends temperatures far above seasonal ! We hit 49.6 C two summers ago that’s Death Valley temperatures fk! Didn’t even have autumn last year went from summer straight into winter never seen anything like it ! World is absolutely doomed !

China consumes over FOUR BILLION tons of coal a year, and increasing, on power stations and making coal, and is going to continue to increase its usage up to at least 2030. India has joined the Billion Ton Club and is also increasing its coal burn. The aviation industry, which produces about 12% of global CO2, is in post-covid recovery and is breaking all sorts of volume records literally almost every day. And yes, whilst there is a massive increase in "renewables", that doesnt actually DO anything about the previous items.

Until and unless that changes - which is very very very unlikely - then it doesnt matter what the rest of the world does to "combat" climate change. It cant fight a massive load like that.

A lot questions here? Is the baseline established using data obtained from Sea Surface Temperature. If yes, it was only in 1979 before satellites were deployed with multiple infra red channels that were used to remove the effects (on temperatures) of the intervening atmosphere ? If the data is obtained from SST how do they extrapolate over the land where thermal emissivity complicates the temperature calculation. Even if they use surrogate methods to infer the effects of thermal emissivity over land this will lead to inaccuracies of the resultant temperature recordings.

How come the warming isńt global, but only seems to hit northern regions AFTER 1995? The heating is not linear with CO² concentration like it should be in scientific models. Seems like something else is affecting the temperature.

But humm.. Africa seems "colder" than Europe with constant stable +0 degree, not warm during 70 years according to the vidéo and Europe is warmer than all Africa with seems +2 degrees. You kiddin ? It can be interpretated with all is fine with this vidéo while Africa is and stay stable with their temperature degrees.
And Australia had their worst period warm the 3 last summer and the vidéo seems stable which is not true as anybody knows. With 45 degrees and all burning forrest on the bush. Australia took as + 10 degrees the 3 last summer and doesn't appear on the video.

Well, I know the best way to solve global warming. What is it? It is to bring in the atmosphere from the air and store it in a highly concentrated state in sea water or in the ground. In that case, the Earth's position will be far from the sun, and in that state, Global warming is a phenomenon that occurs when the atmosphere is too thick. + If you think about the possibility that if you put it in seawater, it will not remain as space and will naturally melt with the seawater... Perhaps if this method is used, the summer climate will be the same until the end of human life. It will come out pretty steadily... And it will snow more... Hmm... But if you use it too much, the temperature difference between day and night will become very extreme.

Its amazing in political terms there is as much upheaval in the world as bad weather. But climate change for the worst is here and that will level all playing fields because now it is existential and all our heads are on the block not just political parties.
