RECIPE IN THIS VIDEO:
*3 parts Valspar wood and metal interior BASE C V700 Blend, 1 part Vallejo polyurethane gloss varnish (my new favorite gloss varnish for the bloom recipe)
*Recently started adding Golden Heavy Gel Medium to my Pigments for extra body.

*CELL ACTIVATOR: 1 part Golden Carbon Black; 3 parts Australian Flood Floetrol
1 part Golden Copper; 3 parts Australian Flood Floetrol

Alternatively you can try the following Glue All Cell Activator!

*ELMER'S GLUE ALL CELL ACTIVATOR: 10ml amsterdam Titanium White, 20 ml elmer's glue all, 10ml water (I'm experimenting so this may change)

It's very pretty! I love the color combinations. Looks like in the second swipe the cells are way too large.
I wonder if the tree would have come out better if you had used a different tool?
I've never done a swipe but I have done several pours and I don't try to create cells. I like to do airbrushing on top of the pours when they're dry.

That looks pretty neat Erica, nice job. I wonder if you swiped with a wider tool at the beginning of the tree, would the swipe paint then close in to a better size trunk? Just a thought, I'm no expert - in fact I've never tried this yet.

I like it but liked it better before you put the black stripes in the tree
