I think the first questioner conflated big/little achievements or tasks with more/less important values. One can advance the most important of values through the simplest of actions. Life (our highest value) can be promoted by eating a meal, or honesty by saying a sentence that is true. Or conversely, less fundamentally important or optional values can be promoted through long-range, difficult tasks like strength training, or learning to play an instrument. OR, of course, any other combination of the above... big tasks can promote important values and simple actions can promote less important values.

25 minutes in a whole bunch of nothing. Spends more time talking about alturism. I came to learn about self interest. Like going to a lecture on judasim and learning instead about hinduism. Im going to persist but its against my self interest.

This is a sermon closely following the Christian model. It goes like Slogan, Statement, Statement, cute quote from a literary work, generalization, and again Slogan, Statement...

The word reason is quite often said, yet no trace of reason, just keyword dropping to the choir. A wasted hour waiting for some reasoning.
