Putin invaded Ukraine, and did so when Ukraine did not show any hostility towards Russia. If Putin leaves Ukraine in shambles someday, Russia should remain under sanctions until they restore the Ukraine and compensate those families he destroyed. In addition, to keep Putin accountable and to deter further aggression, the Ukraine should be allowed to join NATO and the European Union.
