Ok, a lot of these landers are tipping over when they land. I think India had that happen also. I wish to give these rocket scientists a piece of advice. Tall and skinny is not a stable design on earth nor does it appear to be on the moon. Either add some thrusters to re-position after falling over, or add some type of outriggers and make less tall while it lands. If it needs the height, have it rise up after landing. From what I see on this show, the lander sure looks top heavy to begin with. Can you change the multi-foot outriggers for instead a single hoop like ring to give a 360 degree support. Have it deploy before decent to the surface and give it a very large diameter. Both the ring and outrigger legs could be folded and spring loaded to deploy into place once it stretches out to full position. Just an idea.

I always get a bit sad watching the SpaceX launch area knowing how it has destroyed the local environment and endangered species. One would hope that they would use existing facilities such as Kennedy space center.

Interestingly enough, if you watch the Firefly touchdown video in full, you'll notice that even their lander rocked back a little bit. Low and wide is good, but it can still be difficult!

Everyone who mocked Chandrayaan 2, said Chandrayaan 3 is nothing of an achievement should see how difficult it

Triple redundancy exists for a reason. Why was there only one laser altimeter?

We can compete to go to Mars, so we can continue fighting there also……the future of mankind is amazing!

I wonder if they discussed the possibility of firing up some thrusters to upright or at least move it into the sunlight to recover some ability to keep operational

00:20 awh man, I read this part in a southern accent, as if a New Vegas robot shutting off. Thank you, Blue Ghost!

Firefly needs to build more stable landing platforms. They need flatter, wider bottoms. Stop depending on tech to compensate for a tall, unstable landing structure.

Future scrap collectors will have plenty of work when we start living on the Moon.😁

1:16 How is the gold foil wrinkled but the firefly logo, NASA logo and the American flag not wrinkled? Were the logos added later? In the land of the blind, the one eye is king.

Aren't you forgetting that the starship had several water landings?
