About two weeks ago, I finished the first ballade. I played it in my piano competition at my school last week and it was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had on stage. Unfortunately, I only got highly commended and lost to someone who played Chopin’s nocturne in E flat (the famous one) and I was very annoyed. However, the experience of playing this masterpiece at only 15 years old was an absolute rollercoaster.

Plus, I nailed the coda!

I would add two against three or four against three. I have never been able to make it sound natural and effortless.

Piano playing is easy in the sense that to produce consistent sound you only need to press a key, unlike instruments like winds or strings
