My Father served 30 years in the military. He spent time in Army, Marines and Navy. I do not feel my Father threw his life away. He was a proud man who loved his country. Oh and he was a live long Democrat.

Wow. I didn't realize I threw my life away. If that's true, I'm so glad I did. The Air Force absolutely set me on a successful life path. I'm forever grateful for that.

I wonder if my grandfather, father, uncle, brother and sister know they also threw their lives away. Our family serves - it's a tradition Dobbs and Greene could never understand.

I'm sure she actually believes she's serving her country when in fact all she's doing is destroying it.

I spent 20 years in the military and my husband is retiring after 25 years. I would do it all over again.

The only “values” MTG has is the exclusion of others.

Serving this country is not a throwaway, it’s a sacrifice, that many people are not willing to do!!!! However, serving and supporting an idiot and a idiotic administration is throwing your life away!!!!

My brother joined the military 30 years ago. His girlfriend was pregnant, he had no prospects and seemingly no future. He also wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. A career in the military made it possible to buy a nice house and cars and raise a family of five. Of course it was a two income family but whose family isn't.

Joining the army is a big risk to your health and safety. Of course it's like throwing your life away. War is bad. But if you want to stand up for your country, stand up for your country.

MTG`s stupidity is astounding! She's just such a horrible person! I get so angry with her that my blood pressure seriously increases to a dangerous level!

crazy to me that the ones that have the most to say negatively would never sign up to fight for this country for one day.

Spent 14 years of my life in an Army uniform. I wouldn't trade those lessons for anything, not even if it meant not being wounded.

How is it that our soldiers get paid less than a police officer?

I was drafted in the late 60s and was in Vietnam for 3 tours as a navy seal and still have no idea what that war was about

I’m a vet and military has a lot of problems and recruiting in mostly poor neighborhoods is unethical. Also, vets need to be taken care of much better. Pay for a such a commitment should definitely be higher, But at the same time I don’t think it’s throwing your life away, It has saved many people lives. I was able to get multiple degrees including two graduate degrees thanks to my G.I. Bill.

I graduated in 2003 and so many of my friends and family enlisted and went over, only to come back damaged and suffering from PTSD. It's shameful and it's like a slap in the face to hear her say that. MTG is vile and I hope Marcus Flowers supporters turn out in droves to replace her or see the judge in GA make it impossible for her to run again.
