How to Build a Large Dog House DIY

We have an outside dog that stays under our back porch, but on rainy days a lot of water flows through this area so he just stays wet.
And to help him stay dry and warmer during the winter months, I decided to build him a raised dog house for his comfort.
Most of the lumber used for this project was from an old wooden crate that I took apart recently thus keeping this build relatively cheap.
Now he is a happy warm pet.

Really nice plan on making one formy dog but is used out side where it can be in rain might want to have the roof pitch the other way so dog can go in or out with out all the water coming down right in front of door and splashing in the door will help keep inside dry

You should note that the Slope of the Dog House should angle downward in the back if using the dog house outside where it will be rained on instead of the way that you built this one sloping down in the front since it will be under cover. Sloping it downwards on the back will allow for rain to run off of the back instead of to the front doorway area like it will with the way this one is built.
