someone in my class keeps asking me, ” are you transgender, are you a girl or a boy, do you want to be a boy.” and i have clarified like 5 times that im a girl.

My sister has short hair and usually wears gender neutral or boyish clothes. She even wore a jumpsuit to a couple proms. My grandma insisted she was gay and it broke our families heart. She is just wearing what makes her happy and confident and she is very very straight. She shouldn't have to experience this type of treatment just to be comfortable in her body

honestly, even wearing a clothing item in the “men’s” section apparently means you are instantly masc, and everyone thinks youre weird. im so sick and tired of people judging others based off their style.

This is so real for me, I’m a straight woman but I wear male cloths because I just feel more comfortable in them. And so many people just assume I’m either trans or gay. And I’ve been told to leave the women’s bathroom many times

Back in the 90's when I was finishing high school, a lot of us girls wore guy's clothing and *NOBODY* cared. It was a large part of the mainstream style back then, at least in my area, and nobody assumed anything. Although, the girls who wore guy's clothes also wore their hair traditionally long, but the clothing style was NOT a thing. Things are NOW made super complicated and it Shouldn't be super complicated. Everyone should just be how they want.

We up in the 70s. I liked jeans and flannel. Shorts and t-shirts. Members of my family assumed I was a lesbian. Back then transgender and transvestite hadn't made it to Appalachia. When I had my son at forty they were shocked. They asked why I hadn't said I was straight. I told them "you still don't know for sure cause it's not your business." You are a cute girl who knows your truth. F everybody else.

Meanwhile even dressing up more masculine (wearing binders, having short hair and other things like that) all the kids at my school only view me as a girl and can't understand the idea that I'm neither. Seriously the amount of times they've asked me for my "real name" and harassed me over my looks even with some dead naming too it's getting ridiculous.
