Duke: "OH MY GOD THANK YOU THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT'S EVERY HAPPENED IN MY LIFE!"
Vampire 1 and 2: "uh...Yu...You're welcome?"

Something I realized after a couple views: Duke, a teenager, died a slow, painful death utterly alone; feeling his life slowly slipping away with each heartbeat. No one he could call, no one coming to his rescue; all he could do is slump along a wall in some dark, dingy, back alley and feel himself slip the mortal coil...

Voltaire has range in his songs and albums and I love that! One song makes you wanna stand up and start dancing like a maniac with a smile on your face, living the moment you know and the next one makes you wanna lay down in a fetal position and cry and I freaking love that! Can't wait for the epeisode!!!!

And so we have seen how Duke began his afterlife. This animated video was fantastic!

One thing I've noticed is that Duke's transformation looks notably much more painful than Missi's did. Interesting.

I think it’s poignant that the whole song wasn’t done. If you go further, the lyrics say, ”But I don’t want to leave behind the sweetly fragrant mist of life.” Duke at this point, didn’t care about living. Why would he? His mom is dead, his dad neglected him and his only friend abandoned him for the jocks who bullied him in high school. He would rather take a moment of pain and be undead than feel nothing at all, but live a life that was killing him. Daria, why do you do this to us?

I love how his whole body contorts as he transforms into a vampire.

Huh. So he was bitten by that blond vampire. Then thrown out of the building and left alone? Did the other vampires expected him to die instead of changing? This left me with question.

And it seem the blond vampire will play a part in the next episode. I'm salivating as I wait.

My heart broke when I saw Duke - this clearly wasn’t his idea and considering he’s alone I think someone betrayed his trust. I can’t imagine being hurt and alone like that, then suddenly realize you’re dying.

Now we can see how Duke became a vampire. That’s what differentiates him from Missi. Missi has the option to go back to being human by getting rid of the cane. I wonder if Missi will end up taking the plunge and be bitten. 🤔

Every time a new video drops it makes me happy. Seeing Duke look at the church and start walking towards made me think of Lestat from the vampire chronicles.

OMG, this one really took me off guard, in a good way of course. Love myself another dive into Dukes origins, how he sorta became a vampire and how he found the castle..., thrilled to learn more about that mysterious figure in the background though, as they seem important to his story...
