The lyrics hits me hard. I have depression, approximately for 8 years now. And the lyrics I make poems and songs, showing people the beauty of words and melodies. But almost none of those people know that I can be empty at times. Sadness, loneliness, and suicidal tendencies fill me periodically. But now, I will always remember to stay positive, to be full even though I might be empty sometimes (or most of the times), but I'm sure a glimmer of hope will constantly come.

EDIT: 2023, I survived, much better, and I remember the moment I encountered this song 6 years ago. It's still so damn beautiful to hear, and it still draws some tears from my eyes.

Over the years I've listened to this in many different ways, from a full jam session complete with spatula-microphone and dancing (i DISTINCTLY recall the dancing, is an excellent song for fun dramatic swishy movements), to stopping everything, closing my eyes, and just letting the lyrics seep into my soul. Out of all of your songs... this one, by far, speaks to my heart in more ways than I can explain. I’ve fought my own darkness and demons for years, and once upon a time when I also had been suffering from insomnia, I used to sit below the giant window on the stairs leading to my room. The moon was always present through the glass, from the evening until dawn. I’d stare up at it and the stars, and think for hours and hours, until it faded into the pale pink and blue of the sunrise. This song brings me back to those serene and peaceful and heartbreaking nights. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful composition ❤️ I’ll listen to this song for the rest of my days.

The last few years have been particularly rough for me. "Reignite", "Frozen Sleep", "Beauty of Dawn", and "Rise from the Dark" all talk about finding ways out of the darkness and not giving up, and your music and lyrics have helped me countless times when I feel like I am trapped in my own personal darkness. But the "I Follow the Moon" lyrics capture so beautifully the way I have been feeling, and the music is contemplative yet so full of hope that it’s practically become my personal theme song for the past couple weeks.

Thank you for making and sharing your music. Joy may be fleeting, but listening to your music always brings me joy when I need it most. And for that, I can’t possibly thank you enough.
