The more intelligent I got the more I lost my belief in a god. Now I'm a complete Atheist and I am very intelligent. Studies are true.

This should be obvious. If you consider ancient fairy tales to be true, you are probably not the sharpest crayon in the box.

being more religious absolutely makes you less intelligent. sorry

It doesn't take a genius to see that God is Santa Claus for adults.

Absolutelly nothing new to me! Im also an atheist, no one in my family was religious! I was born as an atheist, I live as an atheist and I will die as an atheist!

Being 67 years old now, I well remember an assumption I held in my teens and 20s that career criminals were probably non-religious as they had obviously rebelled against law abiding society. But, as I grew older and had more experience in actually hearing such criminals talking, either in real life or in interviews on television, that they tended to be very religious and were ultra-judgemental against anyone breaking "moral" laws other than those that they themselves committed.

That's an overstatement, some agnostics don't believe in a god but recognise that it could go either way (but then again, most atheists acknowledge the need for positive evidence before belief can move towards knowledge), and some agnostics focus on the not knowing without belief in either direction.

You're proving them wrong if you thought for a second that he was serious.

I'm amazed you were bold enough to leave a comment like this, when I'm positive you disregarded most of the information illustrating said reasoning.

Actually it makes perfect sense as atheists we actually have to examine and learn about life, rather than having fairy tales spoon fed to us from childhood, and posited as truth and unquestionable.

Exactly the point of a scientific study, we don't have to rely on anecdote

Not always but more likely, which is my point.
Again, it's true that secular does not necessarily mean educated, however educated means more likely to be secular.
Please notice the logic transposition, like if all trees are green is not saying everything which is green is a tree.

People who think for themselves do not generally find the cage of dogmatism revealing nor comfortable.

Intelligent people ask questions. They tend to value reason and logic.

The difference between when I was religious and now being Atheist wasn't intelligence I think, it's to do more with the information I had to make that decision. And having an open mind helps too.

You also see more religion in a poor society and also in an uneducated society.

Strange.

BTW, Einstein stated that he believed in the "pantheistic god" of Spinoza but not a personal god. He described himself as an agnostic.

"People rather not believe in god ... because you don't want not consequence for what you do in this life"

That's silly for two reasons: 1) we DO have consequences for our actions. There are laws and penalties, societal expectations & consequences, and intrinsic penalties of guilt and remorse. 2) Whether we'd LIKE to believe in a god is irrelevant to whether we DO believe in a god, as belief is not a matter of choice - it's a matter of whether you've been convinced. I haven't.
