Just moved to Malaysia, I wake up happy and feel like Im in some disney cartoon on days I hear this bird. When I don't hear it in the morning I feel a bit sad lol 😂

Some one who lacks sense can only call the sounds of koel a nuisance. Koel has inspired so many poets to write poems and the singers to sing in praise of their beloved. Koel is the most favourite bird for the sounds it makes.

In Thailand, this is called the Ka Wow, . My mother and grandmother used to sing a lullaby telling their story. The lyrics are in Thai, but the melody is Mon.
