California residents move to Nashville to chase new 'American Dream'

I was born and raised in Nashville, I still live here. Crime is through the roof and driving has gotten horrendous just in the past 20 years. People who grew up in the Nashville area can not afford $400, 000 for a house which is why it's rare to meet someone born and raised in Nashville anymore. It's sad to see multiple shootings reported every night because 20-30 years ago, even in the "bad" areas, you maybe heard about a handful of shootings per month, now it's 2-3 per night. The outsiders are not making this City better.

As a born and raised native of Nashville, this is the absolute LAST place you want to move to if you’re escaping California! Crime and homelessness are through the roof, the traffic is comparable to Atlanta some days because of how packed the roads are. Public transit is underutilized and laughable at best, the housing market is unreachably expensive, rent has spiked among a CVS receipt length of other things. For the love of all that is good and holy DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This town is far beyond max capacity!!!

Having a home with a large piece of land for your children to have fun and roam around in will soon be lost forever for the folks of Tennessee. Soon, you will have small two-story homes with a little backyard built next to one another, and with no privacy.

Yeah...I moved unfortunately from my home in California due to extremely high prices to live there. NOW all of Californian s have LITERALLY taken over Nashville and making just as hard to maintain living expenses when it comes to real-estate! I hate it personally. Nashville politicians are only interested in the money and not thinking of their locals who are struggling to make ends meet.

As a local thats been living here for 16 years, I want to kindly say this

GO AWAY!!!

I had hopes In moving out and getting my own place here, but considering house flippers are buying and demolishing old affordable homes for cookie cutter homes that a lot of people can't afford, rent prices have gotten way out of hand. And don't get me started on traffic, its gotten so bad that my work commute is 20 minutes, and I live 12 minutes away from my job!

Why must Californians ruin everything they touch? Go to Texas for Pete's sake

I moved to Nashville twenty-something years ago very friendly people volunteer state I watched it slowly turn into Los Angeles the people are now grumpy and mean and if you find somebody to help you out you got lucky when you move somewhere you should assimilate not change everything to what you left

I swear these people are literally like locusts. They destroy one place and move to the next. They can't notice the changes around you is this the height of self delusion. I would rather wager the people of Nashville Tennessee don't like the changes.
