Well, both my father and his father were masons. When I was a small child, maybe 7 or 8 I knew it just wrong for a father to be involved in something he could not talk to his sons and wife about. I have never changed my opinion on that. Once both our parents passed away, my brother and I were sorting out the estate, we found their (our father's and grand father's) masonic things so the question arose as to what to do with them. I told my older brother that if I took them I'd burn them. So it was up to him if he wanted them. He asked me if it was unchristian. So I explained a few things I know of it and that I had always felt this thing had a hold over our father. He thought about that a moment and asked me to take them. So, I loaded them in my car but they never made it home. I pulled into a roadside stop along the way, prayed the family would be free from this thing and burned ever single scrap of it. Gone at last!

Wow! This is a great interview! Glad you're not afraid to discuss this. I always cringe when I see a car in a "church" parking lot with signs declaring they are a freemason. I also cringe seeing them on the road or parking lots. I left a Chick Tract on one at a grocery store parking lot.
