The original movie means so much to my family - my sister and I were 90's babies and probably watched the cartoon version 300+ times in our youth - we watched this version on Christmas with our dad who is now 63 and it was just so eye-opening to me to cherish the time you have with your parents.

I miss Rafiki and Mufasa hugging each other. It’s a small moment in the original animated movie but it really does a good job to show that these two aren’t just King and Shawman priest, but are close life long friends that really care about each other. So much that they’re willing to drop the formalities and get straight to the friendship

I literally cried when I first saw this. Seeing a scene from my favorite childhood cartoon come to "life" was a lot, for some reason. They did such a great job.

I took my then 10-year-old daughter to see this in the theatre when it came out. It was overwhelming and I was almost in tears. The opening scene compared to when I was also 10 years old seeing the original in theatres was uncanny. It’s the circle of life ❤️

I saw this in the theater twice. It was actually a breathtaking experience since the screen was huge. But I still think the original Lion King was more breathtaking to see on the Big Screen.
