The bit about Cleopatra is controversial to say the least. Some say she wasn't Egyptian, others say she definitely was. My view is that she was Egyptian BUT of Greek Ptolomaic background. In fact, I'd further say she was even more Egyptian than her dynastic Ptolomaic predecessors as she could speak Egyptian when they couldn't. So she may not have looked "traditionally" Egyptian, but she was a Great Egyptian Pharaoh.

Pineapples were exclusive because they had to be grown in heated green houses, that only the rich could afford, plus they appear in grand houses architecture as a status symbol, often found in garden stone works and reliefs on walls, inside and out. They also appear in silverware items and other ornamental things, which sometimes included embroidery.

Yes, Art was in the Olympics: Art Wint (Jamaica, 1948 & 1952), Art Parkin (New Zealand, 1972), and Art Swarc (Canada, 2020). I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few more! 😀

Surprised no one has answered the question Mike asked at the very end of the vid, so I'll start: my fave historical time period is the Victorian Era. Dunno why, but there's just something about it that's so oddly fascinating... 😆😃

Napoleon was NOT French. He was born on Corsica, an Italian possession at the time of his birth. He grew up speaking a dialect of Italian, NOT French.

Stalin was NOT Russian. He was a Georgian.

Catherine the Great was also NOT Russian. She was a German princess when she married the Tsar.

Hitler was NOT German. He was Austrian.

#4: Sleeping through your alarm? If the alarm's "ringtone" can be changed beyond pre-programmed tones included with your phone, simply set the alarm to a song or noise that you greatly despise and that you can not wait to make it stop playing.
But it must be something you truly despise hearing.
