That photograph of Keown is my favourite football photograph of all times. It is often said that players and fans are divided, perhaps even more now that players are so well paid. But the image of Keown giving it large, to what was for all gooners a complete cheater, was probably how every gooner around the world felt. Whether you were in Finsbury Park, Norway, Timbuktu or at the stadium. Keown's sheer schadenfreude over a player that had clearly cheated was how we all felt. A clear connection between player and fans.

This rivalry will never be topped. The standards were so high such that Utd's treble in 98 and arsenal's invincibles in 04 would never have happened had bergkamp and van nistelrooy scored their respective pens deep into stoppage time.
