Great review. Question for you. I am a real estate photographer and am struggling with the choice between them. The 1” sensor is appealing but so is the option of the zoom. Wouldn’t the super high photo res mode negate the benefit of the 1” sensor for still photos of houses? Also which in your opinion would need less post production for the video?

Having a very hard time deciding between the zoom and the pro. I film a lot of downhill skateboarding as well as other commercial work. The zoom will be so nice to be able to get closer to the skaters, but the pro has the 1 inch sensor, better color, variable aperture, 10 bit 4K. I do a lot of editing and processing with all my videos, so I would have a little more freedom with the Pro. What do you recommend?

Great video. I got the zoom version because I have the Mavic Pro 1, and the Images and videos are already great, so based on my traveling experience, the zoom is most valuable for me. Dolly zoom and hi res image are also good additions. I do not post process images so I would not get the value from Mavic Pro 2. The zoom version also has wider field of view (24mm vs 28mm). Each version has its pros and cons. The earlier comment hit the nail right on the head: about the Mavic Pro 2 being for professionals who want to do post processing, while the zoom is for everyone else. Once again great video. I am really enjoying your videos, they are fast and precise. I had the Mavic Pro but hadn't used it much lately. I love the protective sensors on these drones, it makes it much harder to crash. I had ordered the Zoom but changed to the Pro as photography is most important to me and the larger file size made the choice easy.

Which of the 2 PRO or ZOOM has the best compatable vidoe in AUTO with other cameras like GOPRO or Garmin VIRB? I mean if you dont want to colorgrade too much and just want to blend drone with regular actioncamera vids which one is closest to actioncameras in color and whitebalance?

I think if you just bought the Mavic Air, just wait...in about 6 months to a year, dji will either release the Mavic 2 Pro Platinum which would have the Hasselblad+Zoom or they will release the Mavic Air 2 w/zoom.
