You give a very good idea in fixing a broken plastic object to make it good again

Interesting idea, but you are basically shorting the battery, it will be destroyed very fast. In terms of practicality it is cheaper to buy a plastic welding gun for some 20 bucks than destroy a battery that can cost 3-4 times more.
