DeX works nicely on my S9+, which is why I bought it. I also run Ubuntu on Linux on DeX and Debian via UserLAnd.

I just switched from my aging iPhone to a Samsung S10, and this device is very interesting to me. I love the idea of using it to send emails, surf the web, and for light office work.

But I'll probably switch back to Apple in a few years if they make a phone I'm willing to shell out big money for. Does anyone know if this or something similar could be supported by Apple products?

Hmm... If you have to take that with you whereever you go you might aswell but a laptop.
I see more in a roll up monitor. With the flexible screens that should be possible soon.
