"This is just going to reflect the miserableness of the room ... " 😆😂🤣

It looks less busy, but I am not sure if the benches obstructing the drawers would be practical. Also, it seems like the first design was made for someone who needs much more desk space. Considering that, the second design would not be useful.

you can never underestimate how much storage you can get from having the bed just a little bit higher up

Usually I think these videos are spot-on, but I think the first setup would be more pleasantly cocooning than cramped. I say this as someone who used to take my blankets and camp out in the empty bathtub as a child, so many it's not a common opinion, but that bunkbed would suit me just fine lol

I'd also love versions that incorporate an ergonomic work setup (giving space for external screen and keyboard, allowing for a proper ergonomic chair) that allow you to work there all day every day...
Because as nice as the second version looks, the first one is probably healthier (8hrs of sleep vs 16hrs of working/gaming) in the long run...

Would be nice if this setup could incorporate a more ergonomic workspace.

The only thing I'm not convinced about is the storage bench in front of the drawers

The first one seems great. For me, I like the cozy claustrophobic feel of a bunk bed. It was much more spacious on the floor too. Neat to see how others feel about it.

I'm going to point out how ergonomically responsible the first design was in comparison to the improvement. I do agree with the storage idea and the seating location.

This idea is good for people who doesn’t use the desk or computer that much. But some people need bigger desk to fit monitor, cpu, speaker etc.
I think they just need a lighter shade of furniture and then the initial setup wouldn’t look much clustered.

The first option was definitely better. Leaves more room on the ground and makes it not feel cluttered. The second option also didn't keep in mind the wishes of the room owner, as he needs his space for his computer and monitors.

Oh, my God. A digital visual! That is so awesome! Thank you. Trust me, you will be hearing from me one day

"Uhh, where is the spot to put my workstation and its three 27 inch monitors??", said the client

That only works if you have a laptop and it's not a comfortable chair for an 8 hour work day

looks nice but im lazy and dont want to be moving my chair to get to the drawers. plus that table is too small for me to get any work done. i love the bed being elevated.

This may work for some people but I would struggle to get anything done on the computer set up on your version, be it work, hobbies or games.

For once i actually prefer the first idea, except for the colour choices. The room might feel cramped, but still neat and provides more work space. I personally value work space and i'm also looking forward to a big desk in my room.

2 different designs for 2 different types of person, i personally would choose the bunk bed, since i use pc a lot, and big table is essential, if you're the type that goes out a lot and barely spend time in your room, then yea i would go with the 2nd design

I liked having my desk under my lofted bed in college- it helped create separation between my living space and my sleeping space even though it was all in one room. I felt cozy working under the bed, too. It seems like in this configuration you would just end up lying on the bed all day, especially since a little round table isn't big enough to do anything on.
