Great review Brett! I actually bought one of these a couple months back to use in my F150. Overall been super happy with it! Works for my Android and my wife's iPhone - although it can be a little bit of a pain switching devices. Luckily I have not had any issues with my steering wheel controls or the voice controls working. Maybe an infotainment update from Honda in the future will fix that for you! 🙏 One quirk I've noticed in my vehicle is sometimes if I decline a call it makes all the audio coming from my device sound distorted and only seems to be fixed by unplugging the ottocast and plugging it back in. Might have to take advantage of your discount code and pick up a second one for our Subaru! 😉

So excited to hear about this. I didn't realize I had an option to do this. The USB cables always have issues with the plug-in

FYI, Motorola MA1 is specifically made for android auto. You can still control your music and google assistance with the control on your steering wheel. I've been using it for the past couple months since it was released.

After using a rental car on a trip that had AA wireless, wow what a difference. My 2019 Acadia only has wired, might have to invest in this

Very nice! I'd been eagerly awaiting an update for my 2020 Silverado to support the wireless Android Auto and was looking for an interim solution. Thanks!

You almost had me buying it!!!
I need Google Assistant most of the time while I'm driving and for music, I'm always changing music with the controllers on my steering wheel.

Hi Brett, great review. Does your car has Turn by turn indication on MID when connected to wired AA? If yes, does Ottocast support the same?

Hello . Thanks for your great videos . I have a Carlin kit 4.0 installed . Its working great so far . The only issue I’m having is that it says it will disconnect me from Carlin CarPlay if I join my car’s WiFi hotspot? Is there a way around this ? Thanks v much again

Great review! I have a Pixel 6 Pro and a Honda Passport. Carsifi works MUCH better for this purpose. It connects as Android Auto, steering wheel buttons and voice commands work. The biggest problem is consistency with connecting, which I think may be more of a Pixel bug.

Hey thank you for a great video, one question can we sync 2 phones, and do we have to do the set every time we change phones?

Great review!!! Way too many hiccups for $150. Ottocast must do better for that price.

Are you able to cast videos you have in your phone files ?

I picked up Carsifi a few months ago and love it. Android only but the steering wheel controls still work. Also does not use CarPlay but android natively

I have a 2020 Sonata, and months after I purchased it, they put out an update that allowed wireless. I found it in the forums... Definitely worth a search.

I use wireless android auto in my Volkswagen t-roc. It's a game changer. Google assistant is fantastic. If you have a Google home app and accessories you can broadcast your home to say you're coming home.

Another excellent review of a cool product. Wish you could’ve totally reviewed how the Apple Car play works. I have it & just normally use the Sync system in my Ford Edge, but I’m wondering if I’m missing something possibly better! Thx!

Hey Brett, thanks for the thorough review. You covered everything in great detail . This product looks like a nice try, but the lack of steering wheel controls and Google assisttant over voice is a deal breaker. The whole point of AA is to help drivers keep their attention on the road, not touching the screen. I've been using AA for several years experiencing infuriating problems introduced by Google randomly. It has been very stable the last couple of years so to use this wireless adaptor seems like a big step backward. Again thanks for the review. I'll wait for your review of the Motorola MA1.

Edit: I just received an update and the music controls are working on my Honda Odyssey! Still no Google Assistant though.

I apologize for saying "It's great" so many times. After spending a month struggling to get the Beta device to work I was just really happy that it finally was working!

Were you able to charge the phone using the wireless charger in the 2021 Odyssey while using the adapter?
