I'm not interested a Bambu printer, but when I think about reliability, and I think, "Yeah, but Mihai has had so many print failures..." And then I think, Mahai has printed hours to get those failures. I'm impressed.

Thanks for sharing this video. My fan wasn't spinning so I ordered a new one but it didn't spin either when I installed it. Pushed hard on the connector and then it worked. You have to push this connector in quite a bit firmer than you would expect. Not sure if the original is broken or if I just didn't push it in hard enough afterwards after a nozzle swap. Kind of weird design choice to have to remove the fan to do nozzle swap but I guess it's all good now.

This was helpful. It led me to a different solution, but the video was still very helpful.

I've had my printer just a week and today all of a sudden overhangs were awful, just like in this video. I was not sure I could test the 'Part' fan without something being printed. It was good to see how to test it in this video. My fan was not working. I had removed it and replugged it many times and still it wasn't working. I thought that odd for a brand new machine and I've had no incidents that would have damaged it.

FIX: So, I put a multimeter on it with continuity to see if the leads were good from the soulder to the connector contacts. They all were so I had no broken wires. I put it back on and it worked. So, something got shorted or static or something that caused it to not start. But testing it seemed to have cleared it up and it works fine now. So, if your fan quits, before ordering a new one, test the leads and it might just be OK.

I have a few complete spare parts for my printer. When a fix is 30 seconds away, then the printer can go printing again, it is good. Time is money sometime, and nothing prevent you to try to fix you old one when the printer is printing..

My fan died on my P1P about 3 weeks after I got it. Support fixed it, but took a week+.

Are there measures in place to keep you from soldering on your own 5015 fan? In my personal opinion, it's a bit wasteful to have to create an entire new front piece just to replace a fan. And I've had a lot of fans go bad over my many many hours of printing.

It is amazing how part-cooling fan is SUPER IMPORTANT for good quality.
Looking back, we all pursued super-silent fans and shrouds… in retrospect, it was silly: it is impossible to print fast, good and silent.

How many hours did you have on that before the fan went bad?

Where did u order the whole fan piece from?

I watch your videos and see just how often things can go wrong. Even for a very high-quality printer. I have been looking into cheaper options. However, if so much can go wrong even to a printer like this, I wonder what it'll be like for my cheap printer.

Have you had a poke around to find out what actually died? The fan motor windings? a blockage? connector loose?

Do you had to buy the whole cover? Why they don't sell just the fan

The same part you show broke of my printer do you have any tips for fixing it?

Are you sure the fan was bad? The connector comes loose on its own after some time. It just needs to be reseated.

Expensive way to change fan with cover (all on one), i think it is posible to find stand alone fan without cover and split it in existing cover 🤔

If I click on the on/off button, and it stays on off, is this an indication that the fan is dead?
Or I am missing something?

Hey question if you could please answer anybody, how do u get supports off so easily from 3d prints on the Bambu lab x1 carbon?

If you're going to post a video on how to replace the fan, can you at least keep that part in focus on the camera? it's so hard to see what way the connector goes...
