For over 10 years, I have battled depression and anxiety. After a recent treatment at a mental health center, I was freed from the control my mental illness had over me. I am in control and I have coping skills to process anxiety and depression when they try to take over. Ever since, I have been scared to revert back to how I felt before the treatment. This song is encouraging me to keep going and freeing me from my fear of repeating the past. This is now my strongest grounding song, (songs that help me go back to a stable emotional state). I have listen to this on repeat for days. The story makes me tear up every time and the lyrics resonate with me so much. Thank you for this song and your example of making a difference! It’s so amazing!
