Here's my story:
I was the scapegoat in my primary school, being bullied at least once every week. We were sent to the principal several time, who advised me to retaliate against bullies instead of letting the bully have his own fun. And so I did.




And I got scolded for retaliation.

My dad was the high school principal at my school, (and my high school principal). Over a decade after graduation I talk to former alumni that told me how my dad was the only reason they made it through school, helped foster kids get into better homes, talk them out of suicide, and be the only person in some students lives that believed in them ever.
I don’t think I’ll even be a high school principal, but I do hope to be half the man my father was.
